It’s been a while since we updated this, but we have some cool news for you! To help celebrate the CD release of “Leaving My Waiting Room”, we’re doing a few shows over the next couple weekends; we’ll be in Royal Oak, Hamtramck, and Howell, playing with a bunch of friend’s bands (Great Reversals, Due North, The End of the Ocean, Gifts From Enola, Small Parks, etc.) and we’ll finally have new CDs, T-shirts, and screen-printed posters available for purchase, all of which was made possible through the success of our Kickstarter project. You’ll be able to get a first-hand look at the above-mentioned merch at our CD release show, which is coming up this Saturday (Feb. 23rd) at Genesis is downtown Royal Oak. We hope you can make it to at least of one of these shows!
We are streaming a new song at 7pm (Eastern Time), on Stereokiller.com, which is called “Kalkaska”. Hope you all enjoy it!
It’s time for a little update…
Some of you might be wondering why we didn’t launch our Kickstarter project yesterday. Unfortunately we ended up running into a few problems verifying our account in time (something to do with Amazon…), so it’s looking like it may take an extra week to get that going… not only that, we’ve been too busy recording new jams, so in the mean time we thought it’d be a good idea to share what we have in store as far as some of the packages go that will be included in the project.
First, our goal for using Kickstarter is to help us release our new album by December 20th, in the form of a Digi-Pak CD, and then soon after that an LP release (which will probably be around February). We hope to fund just a small portion of the cost to physically put it out by this year, and for the first time, release our music on vinyl. Without the project’s success, we may not be able to do any of this until February because money will be tight. None-the-less it will still be available in digital form as early as December 20th.
To go along with the project, we’re putting together some exclusive packages, and whatever is left over will be available at live shows. Besides the Digi-Pak and LP, included is an 18x24 poster and album t-shirt (both limited to 100), a hand-packaged live album, and more!

Hope you like what you see!
We’ll have more details on all of this soon, including the LP release and live album. We might even post a new track (or two) within the next couple weeks if we’re feeling extra great about things.
Until then, thank you for listening, and for all of your continued support! Hope you can check back with us soon…

Hey friends
More than a week ago, we began recording our new album Leaving My Waiting Room with Carl Kondrat at his home studio Mind Vine Media, which has so far consisted of us laying the foundation down for a few of the ambient-oriented songs on the album. As you can see above, we’ve posted a tiny clip of something new! (keep in mind, it’s rough!)
Jeremy recently bought a new drum set, and he’s gearing up to record seven drum tracks next week, so we’re beyond excited to hear how it’ll all turn out with him behind a new kit. Until then we’ll still be working on a lot more guitar and keyboard atmospherics on the album, including the addition of strings and horns. All together we should have most of the album recorded three weeks from now, and then begins the mixing and mastering phase.
Video updates on our progress will continue until we’re all done, so keep checking back in case we post some new music!
While we’re in the midst of recording, it doesn’t necessarily mean we’re in the position to release the album on a full scale this year (which hopefully includes a Digi-Pak and LP release). At this point without any support it could be out by February, 2013. So in order to help get the album out quicker, we have chosen to try out Kickstarter to fund it’s physical release, and to go along with it we have several exclusive rewards that you can only receive through the project. We hope to successfully push it’s CD release date to December 20th.
We plan on launching the project on Monday, October 8th, and having it run through the 31st. Hopefully with enough support we’ll be able to fund the rest of the recording process and also put together some unique packages for the album!
None-the-less, we are recording new music. And we can’t wait until it’s finished so you can hear it!
To be somewhat brief…
We have begun writing a new full-length record (for real this time), which will be out near the end of the year. Over the next month or two we’ll be finishing up around twelve songs and then we head for the studio…
We have plans to create a Kickstarter in early October to help fund the recording process, and we expect to be updating you with snippets of our music quite frequently once it all begins. A donation as little as a dollar will get you a free download of the album. If you are unfamiliar with Kickstarter, give it a look at: http://www.kickstarter.com
Unfortunately, we all tend to be busy people outside of the band (at least it seems that way from looks of the last year and a half), but we’re in a nice little spot where we’re finally able to work on fully realizing some ideas that have been slept on for so long. I can’t say that I’ve ever been more excited to record, and I think we all agree it is time to reveal a more ambitious side of the band.
You’ll hear from us soon!
